03/02/2019 8:00pm 03/02/2019 9:30pm Blank Square + Sunflower Sweatshop + Intestinehead Live

S+L Projects presents a night of live music at Minnesota Street Project featuring San Francisco’s Blank Square, Orange County’s Sunflower Sweatshop and Intestinehead. The performances will coincide with the closing of their pop-up exhibition, Rock Seen Vintage Photographs by Bob Gruen.

Blank Square is a San Francisco based band that takes an artful approach to making music, tastefully incorporating elements of punk, post-punk and no-wave into their songs - which are as equally powerful as they are danceable. They channel the ethos of lower east side of the 1970s with elements of west coast punk like The Flesh Eaters in a unique and original way. Blank Square released their debut record, Animal I, on Castle Face in 2017.

Performing with Blank Square, is Sunflower Sweatshop, an exciting new band from South Orange County who’s debut No More Tears will be released February 22, 2019. Sunflower Sweatshop’s sound gives a nod to the likes of Lou Reed, Lonesome Crowded West era Modest Mouse, Stephen Malkmus and Weezer.

The three bands will be performing promptly after Minnesota Street Project’s March First Saturday event on March 2nd, which runs Saturday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
