Ruth Charlotte Kneass: Useful Things

Saturday, July 23, 2022 | 5–7 pm

The Jones Institute presents Ruth Charlotte Kneass’s USEFUL THINGS at the Minnesota Street Project.

USEFUL THINGS seeks to create a unified aesthetic across an entire designed environment and its black-and-white palette, reflects Kneass’s lifelong fascination with the cosmos. According to the artist, “These stools, tables, clocks, lamps, and hanging objects are my way of bringing the wonders of distant planets and other heavenly phenomena into closer range.”

After the exhibition at Minnesota Street Project, USEFUL THINGS will debut in Tokyo at Curator’s Cube on October 22, 2022 before moving to Kyoto.
