Ever Gold [Projects]
KATSU: BITS
Ever Gold [Projects] is pleased to present BITS, an exhibition of four NFTs installed IRL from contemporary artist KATSU’s DARK TECH 1 series. As presented in our physical gallery space in San Francisco, these four works take on a material form through the use of custom sculptural projector units with internal digital media that carry on KATSU’s legacy as a critic of the tech industry and its titans. The multi projection-based installation presents four versions of a conjoined Elon Musk with a demonic second self, composed of four different rare earth elements.
Using NFT minting technology the artworks will also be revealed simultaneously and offered exclusively on the SuperRare platform as non-fungible tokens. These NFTs are the same digital media that are projected inside the gallery for the installation.
KATSU is a new media artist working out of New York City. His works involve technology, public intervention and include commentary on commercialism, privacy and digital culture. As a result, his practice includes drone painting, sculpture, digital media, conceptual works and now crypto art. This is KATSU’s first exhibition with Ever Gold [Projects].
A percentage of sales from BITS will be donated to the Open Earth Foundation to offset the carbon footprint of this exhibition.
