1275 Minnesota St / Guest Gallery: The Space Program

Opening Reception: Saturday, January 13, 5:00–9:00 pm

The Space Program San Francisco is a private residency, providing primarily Bay Area artists across a range of disciplines with the space, tools, and time to create.

Located in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco, the Space Program facility includes 4,000 square feet of shared studio space where residents have access to a recording studio, industrial sewing machines, screen printing facilities, a wood shop, and a metal shop on site along with off-site ceramics and metal fabrication services.

To date, the Space Program has supported more than 30 residents in the creation of original works across a range of disciplines including painting, sculpture, textiles, sound and print as well as a biannual mural-in-residence program leveraging the south side of the facility's exterior.

In addition to supporting residents, the Space Program also operates the Art for Justice program which offers free silkscreen printing services for progressive causes, including reproductive rights, anti-racist/racial justice activities, voting initiatives, and climate action.

In this exhibition, The Space Program is pleased to present a selection of works by resident alumni, print projects, and works from our team. Participating artists include Brett Amory, Miguel Arzabe, Kristin Bauer, Jud Bergeron, Jon Bernson, Christopher Robin Duncan, Ashara Ekundayo, Rodney Ewing, Jamil Hellu, Andy Diaz Hope, Laurel Roth Hope, Hughen/Starkweather, Packard Jennings, KEFE, Marbie, Christopher Martin, Michelle Yi Martin, Amy Nathan, yétúndé olagbaju, Tahiti Pehrson, Carissa Potter, Stuart Robertson, Skinner, Johanna St. Clair, Lucien Shapiro, Brandon Tomovic, Mark Dean Veca, Ben Venom, and Connie Zheng.
