New Institute of Contemporary Art San Francisco to open in Dogpatch summer 2022

Walking through 901 Minnesota St., rubber matting and a few foam balls on the floor clue you in to the building’s most recent life as a fitness center and onetime biotech office. On a leafy street in the Dogpatch neighborhood, the space’s industrial architecture is indicative of an area that’s home to metal shops as well as pricey condos. With its soaring ceilings and 11,000 square feet of space, the bones of the structure also seem perfect for exhibiting art.
