Elisheva Biernoff
Elisheva Biernoff's work is about searching and paying attention to things that escape notice. She employs many media – small paintings, prints, collages, and large-scale installations – to register things that are lost, distant or overlooked.
Biernoff received an M.F.A. from California College of the Arts and a B.A. from Yale University. A recipient of a 2015-2016 MacDowell Fellowship, Biernoff has shown at the Contemporary Jewish Museum, Asian Art Museum, and CCA Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts in San Francisco, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, AR, the Walter Phillips Gallery at the Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada, and the Haifa Museum of Art in Israel.
