As we enter into autumn, when the lines between the past, present, and future dissolve, join artist, writer, organizer, and coder Xiaowei R. Wang for a participatory AM radio séance performance that combines divination and computation. The performance extends Wang’s installation "An Archive of Witch Fever," currently on view in "Fictions of Presence," curated by Dorothy R. Santos. Using the artwork’s conductive thread embroidery as an interface and handheld radios to tune into the AM transmission, the audience and artist will work together to encode messages and questions for spirits of the past.
