Dialogues 2025: Artist Mentors and their Students

Now in its 56th season, the San Francisco Arts Education Project continues to explore the relationship between artist mentors and their students in its annual Dialogues exhibit. Showcasing the mutual exchange of formal, material, or conceptual elements found in the work of both the older and the younger artists, the work of SFArtsED artist mentors is presented in conjunction with student work created during each artist’s San Francisco Unified School District in-school, after-school, or independent school residency. This year’s presentation also features work created in the SFUSD Libraries Artist-in-Residence program, a collaboration between SFArtsED and the district that invites students to make art during their lunch break. Who inspires whom? Is resonance reciprocal?
