This one day overview will introduce students to the masterpieces that will be in San Francisco ahead of Christie’s New York auctions of 20th century art, as well as to the contemporary artists and galleries of the Minnesota Street Project. Lectures will focus on the value and validation of modern and contemporary art and address the art historical importance of works in the May sale. The day will feature a specialist-led walk-through of the highlights on view, as well as studio visits and a gallery crawl at the Minnesota Street Project. The day will end with an invitation to a reception hosted by Wells Fargo. Lunch will be included. Participating galleries include Anglim Gilbert Gallery, Ever Gold [Projects], Altman Siegel Gallery, and Adrian Rosenfeld.
