Kelly Lynn Jones
Kelly Lynn Jones is an artist and director/founder of the business Little Paper Planes. With her commitment to helping fellow artists, she runs the LPP+ Residency program giving artists space to create work at the Minnesota Street Project Artist Studios. Jones received her MFA from the California College of the Arts in 2010 and has shown all over the US including exhibitions at 667 Shotwell, Kala Art Institute and The Lab.
Jones uses her personal landscape mediated through a visual inventory of found images on the internet by remaking objects creating quotations of the original. By developing a physical extension from the online platform, Jones investigates authorship, our relationship with the objects we make or buy and what meaning we put into the "aura" of an object once it becomes ours.
